1. Installing second Community results in sample data overwritting first Community database. I read the part in the documentation where it talks about 2 methods of creating a community. The first way was to maintain multiple communities in the same database, the second was a method of creating seperate databases for each community. I chose to do the second method. I ran the Starter kit a second time providing a new name for community and database.
2. When performing the installation the second time a user is asked for the password of the web account to the database, it does not like blank as the password. I understand this is to increase security, but for general purposes our databases are secured already behind firewalls and other levels of security. So, anyway, the first time you ask for a password, you take a null value, the second time, I have to enter "" just to get it to install... then I strip "" out of the database connection string in the web.config file.
3. Your download is full of viruses. I got slammed this weekend when installing the community start kit with tons of viruses. It took me several hours to go through my system and clean up the mess. Luckily, I had a decent virus program on my systems.
I need help quick to resolve these issues. I am running version ASP.NET Community (CSVS) Installer v1.0.msi which comes straight from the download site at http://www.asp.net/webmatrix
